About the Author

Cameron Chapman, the author of Internet Famous, has been writing since childhood. At that time her writing mostly consisted of essays, short stories, and poetry. In college she turned to screenplays and in her early twenties to novels, all of which are still in progress.

She’s been blogging since the summer of 2006. She regularly writes about social media and internet topics for popular blogs like Mashable and Smashing Magazine. She also maintains her own blog focused on writing and publishing tips for other authors over at Cameron Chapman On Writing.

The idea for this particular book came to her in the same manner as most of her ideas—in the shower—not long after reading an article about internet fame in Wired Magazine.

The author lives in northern Vermont with her husband, two dogs (Suki & Chance), cat (Ozzy), and fish (who shall remain nameless as “every time I name a fish it dies a week later”). You can follow her on Twitter here: @cameron_chapman.
