Inspiration
There were a number of factors that influenced the book, but the initial inspiration came from an article about Julia Allison in the August 2008 issue of Wired.
The book grew from the idea of creating an accessible guide to becoming Internet famous that would appeal to a broad audience, from indie musicians and other artists to teenagers who dream of having legions of adoring fans to businesspeople looking to promote a product. Internet Famous has strategies for all of those situations.
More information about the book, including a table of contents, can be seen on the About the Book page.
